Hello! I’m Rachel, and welcome to therapy! If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward, therapy can be a space to better understand what you're going through and begin creating meaningful change.

I’m a queer psychotherapist trained in clinical social work and trauma-informed care. I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ clients and also welcome individuals of all identities who are navigating identity exploration, depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma including CPTSD/PTSD, and more.

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each person’s needs. I aim to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and understood so we can explore what’s bringing you to therapy and work toward meaningful change. Together, we may focus on understanding patterns in your thoughts and relationships, processing difficult (and happy!) experiences, and developing tools that help you move through life with greater clarity and resilience.

My work is grounded in trauma-informed care and anti-oppressive practice. I recognize that many challenges people face are shaped by both personal experiences and broader social contexts. Therapy can be a place to explore and acknowledge those influences while focusing on practical steps toward healing and growth.

Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor therapy to your goals, preferences, and lived experiences. I also recognize that many neurodivergent individuals benefit from creative adaptations to coping strategies, therapeutic tools, and ways of processing experiences that were originally designed with neurotypical and allistic individuals in mind. We’ll celebrate your individuality and work with it. Whether we are exploring the past, navigating present challenges, or building toward the future, therapy is a collaborative process and we will move at a pace that feels supportive and manageable for you.

$65,000 or less: $150

  • Cost should never be a barrier to treatment.

    Sessions are charged automatically after each appointment.

    You can use the sliding scale to the left as a general guide to match your income with what you are able to pay.

  • No. Insurance can create barriers to treatment by taking control of how you want your therapy to look (such as modality confinement), how many sessions you can have in a year, who your therapist can be, and more.

    However, your insurance may still cover session fees if you have out-of-network benefits.

  • Out-of-network benefits are rates your insurance will reimburse you for, even if the provider or treatment is not in-network.

    At the end of each month, you will receive a “superbill” which is an invoice document listing your session dates, billing code, and diagnosis.

    You can submit this document to your insurance to receive reimbursement.

    It is important to check your insurance policy to see if and what your out-of-network benefits are.

  • Individuals age 18 and older living in New York State. Remote online therapy for now. I do not see couples or families at this time.

  • Yes! Individuals of all identities and backgrounds are welcome and invited at my practice.
